Dear Lord...
You're the reason I'm so happy
and just smile now all the time.
You're the words within my poetry
that simply flow and rhyme.
You're my morning sun that lights my way
providing warmth and care.
You're my blanket and my shelter
and I feel you with each prayer.
You're my strength and my foundation
and the very air I breathe.
You're the hope that glistens in my life
and the reason I believe.
You're my savior and my master
and you've set my spirit free.
Now I'll need forever to return
the love you've given me...
